  Caherciveen
Caherciveen is part of the Iveragh Peninsula, it is a region that is famous for its lush landscapes, miles of sandy beaches and peaceful rocky coves. A stroll around the local towns and regions will provide a true picture of Irish rural life where you can meet and view or sample many of the locally produced crafts and foods. There are lanes, roads and paths traversing the region including The Kerry Way and many places and structures dating back to early history including The Ring Fort of Ballycarbery and The Staigue Fort of Castlecove.

Hill and Road Walking
Hill and Road Walking is a particularly favourite pass time for visitors to the Caherciveen area. The Floral Walk - Roa na mBlath will take you from Caherciveen to Cuas Crom (approximately 5 Kilometres) it is suitable for all ages and you can explore the local Fauna. The Kerry Way runs through the region taking in many of the towns and villages. We have such walks as The Mass Path in Derrynane and the old Butter Road outside Waterville. In Caherciveen we have walks such as Cnoc an dTobar, Ballycarbery castle, Ring Forts and Kinego wood.
